Yes, I admit: I am a wee bit bothered by women in my area who drive big cars. Maybe it’s not something specific to my area, maybe it’s just the times we’re in, but I’ve never noticed this terrible driving to this extent elsewhere. These women usually speed in their humungous vehicles, talk and/or text while driving, and don’t know how to park. Here’s an example of what happened just this morning — I’ve got visuals and everything!
I parked in an open spot (not the closest spot to the store, but an available one that had another open spot next to it), turned off the car, took off my sunglasses and was double checking that I had my coupon. Just as I put my hand on the door handle to exit my car I noticed a big humongous car attempting to pull into the spot one down from me (the one facing me — noted with “***” in the picture below). She had to go forward and reverse a few times to get into the spot, and I couldn’t help but laugh because there were so many other spots nearby, yet she was adamant about going into this one. Then as I was opening my door, what does this stupid person do? You guessed it, she pulls straight through to the spot next to me! AS MY DOOR WAS OPENING SO THAT I COULD GET OUT OF MY CAR. Why did she do this? There were sooooo many other spots available and many that had adjacent open spots so that her big old car would have easy access. But no, instead I had to wait for her to come to a stop, then she gives me the stupid “oh go ahead” wave: LIKE I WAS GOING TO WAIT FOR HER TO GET OUT OF HER CAR FIRST.

Key:
blue spots are cars parked (arrow shows direction cars were faced)
gray spots are available spots
yellow spot is my car
*** is the open spot she drove into
red spot is where stupid woman parked (notice it’s facing the opposite direction)

I’ve noticed these phenomena in Denver, too! It was especially pronounced and terrible around Christmastime.

Same issues in Canada. I actually once watched a woman in a very large truck (which was obviously on loan from someone) take off her side view mirror when she smashed it into a concrete wall in the parking garage at work. She had parked too close to the divider and instead of turning her wheel, she just shot back and wrecked the entire side of the truck. We all just collectively said “Ooohhhhhhh!” and that was that. lol
